    Hi Paul,

You’re the bomb. I’m damn fussy about who I care about, and you have met the criteria and then some. I’ve been enjoying the hell out of following you on twitter and facebook, and hope I’ve managed to raise your lovely smile once or twice myself.

You’re a honey, keep being lovely.

I may have only seen you in Arrow, Paul, but you can guarantee that now I’ve been blessed with your portrayal of Quentin – I will be checking out your other work, asap. Starting with the cameo in Dumb and Dumber To. You’re handsome. You’re British. And other Brits like me are so proud to know you hail from here. Canadian Arrow fans get Stephen Amell – we get you. A superb alternative. I love Stephen to bits. But I will take you and Quentin over him and Oliver anyday. :)

This is a great website by the way. Kudos to the webmaster operating it.

Just wanted to tell you I finally realized tonight that you played Harry Dresden a few years back. You were exactly as I’d pictured him in my mind-I’ve seen you in various movies and shows over the years, and you became one of my favorites. Let me ask just one question that’s bugged me for years because I didn’t see who played the character: Did you play the angel in “Teen Angel” back in the…late 70’s or early 80’s? I will feel vindicated if I can tell my husband it was you, lol.

I recently found that “Dresden Files,” one of my all-time favorites, was available, and have been re-enjoying the series. I considered you so good in the show, & realized I had not seen you since. A search revealed an extensive roster of roles, projects, & work that I’ve not seen! I looked in on “Arrow,” liked your character, can’t stand the lead, so probably won’t watch again. So I’ll just say how much I appreciate your work in “Dresden Files,” how disappointed I was when it stopped, and that I’ll look forward to finding other outlets I’ve missed, and future work I’ll enjoy!

I love your pictures of Ladakh. About 30 years ago our family sponsored a little girl in Leh called Tashi Dolma (of Tibetan descent) through Save the Children. We kept in touch with her from age 8 to 18, then heard nothing more. I often wonder if she grew up to become a teacher as she wanted.

    Hello Paul,

Got my hometask at university – to present a book (im studying foreign languages), so i chose Storm Front – first book of the Dresden Files. Fell in love with it – decided to watch the series. Yeah, these two are completely different, but your Harry is adorable – im on the 2nd book at the moment and reading it i see you lol. Shame the series didnt get at least the 2nd season… Still cant figure out why…

Going to start watching the Arrow and other your works when i have time – canny wait, seriously :)

Came across on a video today, the last one that you posted on Whosay – finally got to hear your English accent – great 😀 !!

Just trying to find a way to watch your documentary cause the link that you posted doesnt work for me, i guess the reason for it is my location – im from Moscow, Russia. But will be in Scotland soon, will try it again :) very curious, i bet its great.

Thanks for your films and shows and stuff, you are absolutely fantastic!

I recently started following you on twitter because I love your candid photos. Don’t take this personally, it is meant as a compliment but I tend to gravitate towards those slightly insane in a harmless, fun loving kind of way who still understand that they are not children. Well done-your photos aptly relay this trait.

I have to admit I had not seen “Arrow” until yesterday. I caught a few minutes of which brought to mind a question. I have seen you now in two shows, Arrow & 24. In both shows you have a daughter that you are clearly too young to have. If you are indeed old enough to have a daughter as old as the young “woman” who plays your daughter on Arrow I will eat your shorts (if I am mistaken, clean please, perhaps a nice blueberry flavor.) Are you always casts as older than reality? Do producers really think the public is that stupid?

Keep your fun-loving spirit. It suits you.

Just recently concluded watching you in The Dresden Files on Hulu. I’d seen a few episodes on Sci-Fi when the series originally aired, but not the entire season, until recently. Although a departure from the written series, I enjoyed the on-screen chemistry with “Murphy”. An interesting spin on the detective-type shows. Sorry that the exec’s at Sci-Fi/MGM didn’t renew the series, after the first season. I think the romance angle between Harry & Murphy, would’ve given a new perspective for both plot direction, and series longevity.

Best of luck in your endeavors, and I look forward to your future work…. in all areas.

Great photographer and downright scary villain in “24”. One of my favorite villains of the show. Am I the only one to think Paul would be a great James Bond?
    Keep it up Paul!

I first saw you in Lagaan, and thought you were very good. Just finished watching an episode of Monk (on Netflix), and similarly enjoyed your performance. Here’s wishing you success in all your endeavors!

I enjoyed The Dresden Files, I also watched Medium and found your role to be very fun to watch and compare with your role in The Dresden files. I wish you the best in life, and hope that you can continue to do that which you love. You are very talented, thanks for sharing that with the world.

I simply wanted to thank you for the photographs. It was nice to start my morning looking at the world through someone elses eyes. You treat the “every day” and the exotic with the same respect for life and sense of humor of it all. I enjoy your acting as I have seen you in several works, but your photographs made me smile at life.

    Thank you

I only recently discovered your talents by watching Dresden Files on Hulu. I have fallen in love with your acting and if your agent was smart, he would find you a role that you can sink your teeth in again. I am a huge Robert Downey Jr fan and Hugh Laurie. I think you can and will be the next man up and running for an Academy award if you pick the right show to do. Get your self out there and use the gift you were given to share with your fans.

My best wishes for making 2012 your best.

    Time for a Dresden revival?

First, I love your Photography and hope you have an opportunity to look at some of my work (

Second, now that Harry Potter is such a success, it might be time to revive the Dresden Files or a similar series with an adult wizard who battles evil.

Best luck in all your future endeavors,

    Pleasant Surprise and Suggestion

I’d found this site after wondering if Paul was on Facebook or Twitter and found myself impressed with the breadth of his interests, involvements along with the photography and documentary work.

I shall certainly bookmark the site.

I did wonder if the webmaster might consider doing something especially on Facebook, which can be used as a portal back to this site, and also be useful to advise of updates to this site.

    Best wishes,

    Dear Paul,
If you have received and read my letters, you’ll recall that I yammered on about the book Lonesome Dove. ( I used the mailing address suggested by the ABC site: Culver City Studios. Does that work? If not, I sent a bunch of letters to oblivion.)
I wish to send you a copy of Lonesome Dove. I am on a mission to spread the word and have placed a copy of this book in thousands of hotel bedside tables….Okay, okay, only one hotel bedside table. And I simply forgot it and left it behind, but I’m sure whoever found it is now a believer. 😉
In return I will listen to more instrumental jazz. Maybe. At present I can only tolerate jazz with vocalists.
Anyway– can I have the correct address for such things as books and letters? Thanks and I hope you are happy and well.
    Your friend,
p.s. Despite my jokey manner, you should know — you inspire me. To be a better person.

The River = James Bond Opener?

I tend to believe that if the upcoming ABC series titled “The River” does as well as expected, Paul Blackthorne could see an offer to replace Daniel Craig down the line.

Like his photography, Paul never does the same thing twice. This can only end well for Paul in the long run.
